Ring in the New Year with the Fathers of all things Nerd. Chris and Aaron take a moment to reflect on the year that was and spend a little time on what sort of things made the little nerd boys and little nerd girls happy or sad, while trying not to be overwhelmed by the swelling dread at the bleak wasteland of media where reboots, sequels, and prequels wander in roving packs seeking who they may devour. Still there are a few oases left and in these dark days knowing where to find them is all the more important. So come along and let the Nerd Patriarchs show you the way.

As we prepared for the release of the War of the Rohirrim, Chris and Aaron decide to look at what we know of the movie, what your Nerd Patriarchs concerns are, and then they plunge into an exploration of canon and how it relates to Lord of the Rings and this film, and then to art more broadly.
